We are excited to share that Reading Commons is taking part in a social impact campaign to help members of our local community who are suffering from food insecurity. According to Feeding America, “The coronavirus pandemic has left millions of families without stable employment and more than 54 million people, including 18 million children, may experience food insecurity in 2020.”
We are supporting the Reading Food Pantry during this time of unprecedented need by hosting a food drive at our property. Now, more than ever, the resources provided by food banks are in high demand and our support will enable them to continue providing food items to those in need. The Reading Commons management team is joining team members from other Bozzuto properties in the Greater Boston region to help make a powerful impact and you’re invited to join us.
Here are the details on our food drive:
When: November 16th-30th
Where: Inside the Clubhouse- Outside the Leasing Office
Why: Many community members are experiencing extreme food insecurity due to the effects of Covid-19 and food banks need our support now more than ever.
What: Most needed items are shelf-stable food products such as canned protein, vegetables and fruit. Please check the Reading Food Pantry Facebook page for regular updates on changing food needs.
